Saipem awarded to CEng a contract for the OLT FSRU Project Training activities - Italy

For the new regasification unit in the Tyrrenian Sea, Saipem awarded to CEng the  training of operators and supervisors.
The project envisages a floating regasification unit, created by modifying a LNG carrier, which is positioned 22 km offshore the Tuscan coast and is connected to the dry land by a 30 km long pipeline for the transfer of the gas to the national distribution system.

CEng's scope of work foresees the following main activities:
- Definition of a specific Training Plan;
- Development of training manuals and tools;
- Delivery of classroom training.

The activity will have a duration of approximately 8 months and it is expected to end by March 2011.

The Tuscany Offshore Regasification Terminal is one of the most important projects of national interest in the gas supply sector, at the service of the Italian energy sector development and autonomy.
